High School : Focus sur Oak hill Academy

Oak hill Academy est un lycée de l'état de virginie, aux etas-unis, mais ce n'est pas n'importe quel lycée car son équipe de basket a vu passer des joueurs qui sont devenus des pointures en NBA, tel que Rajon Rondo, Carmelo Anthony,brandon jennings, josh smith, ....

Cette année, les Warriors d'oak hill academy ont battu leur propre record en remportant cette saison 42 victoires d'affilée, et ils ont fini par remporter le Championnat national des lycéens (Fab 50 National championship)

Coutumier du fait, car les Warriors ont été Champion en 1993,1994, 1999, 2003,2004,2007 et 2012.

Kevin Smith est l'entraineur de l'équipe des Warriors depuis 27 ans, et depuis la saison de 1985/86 son équipe a remporté plus de 860 matchs avec seulement 53 défaites au compteur ...

Rod a joué à Oak Hill pendant un an, et a été élu Most Valuable player en 1985.  Puis il est parti jouer pour DePaul University pendant trois saisons ( Stats : 16.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists).  Il a été drafté en 1988 par les Knicks de New York, en 1989 par les Spurs, en 1993 par Portland Trailblazers, en 1998 par les Washington Bullets.

Stats : 24 points and 8 rebounds par match) il a été élu co-Most Valuable Player en 1993 National Championship Team.  il a été élu MVP au McDonald’s High School All-American Game en 1993.  Drafté en 1995 par les Philadelphia 76ers, en 2001 par les Detroit Pistons, en 2003 par les Wizards, puis par Dallas Mavericks en 2006.

OHA Class of 1995 : Ron Mercer

Ron a été élu Most Valuable Player en 1994-95 Oak Hill team, et a reçu le prestigieux Naismith Award for National High School Basketball Player of the Year.  Il a été drafté en 1997 par les Boston Celtics, puis par les Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, San Antonio Spurs et enfin par les New Jersey Nets.

OHA Class of 2002 : Carmelo Anthony

il a été élu Most Valuable Player au a McDonald’s All-American, Carmelo a été drafté en 2003 par les Denver Nuggets.

OHA Class of 2004 : Josh Smith
